Is there going to be an ammo limit for different types of weapon, the section in the sticky is a bit vague?
mag rules are lenient yes to hi and mid caps as at some point you WILL have to rely on a resupply - it's tactics, atmosphere that we are wanting here - not a blat fest but it doesn't matter how many mags you have or capacity but how good you and your section are!!!!!!!!
A note of the actual allowed fps for different weapon types and minimum engagement distances would also be handy.
Thanks

I've been in PM discusion with Chris, and there are ammo limits. I will let him clarify. ![]()

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I am also very interested in this event. Currently unsure where abouts in the country I will be at that point, but deffinately something I would like to take part in.
Fits in nicely with my current transition over to heer.

I'm in a similar situation to Owen as I would love to attend but am unsure of where I will be at the time (I doubt that'll matter though
) I've got full panzergren kit, just wondering whether an m36 tunic is acceptable for this scenario.
Cheers, Robin

Ansewr to the last 2 questions - yes you can bring a 2 tone as long as you let us camouflage it!!!!
I'm not sure what to think about this. Doesn't allowing that defeat the point of having ww2 alike weapons?

Well for instance, if I were to bring a two tone sten, how would this defeat the instance of having a ww2 weapon, if it has to be camoflauged, it has to be camoflauged not much I could do there, it's not like I could defy the vcra and bring a weapon that I've just de two toned ilegally, any way I hope to have afra membership by then (as you can apply from the age of 16) and legally de two tone my guns, me asking if two tones are allowed is just in case for whatever reason I dont get afra membership and have to go with a two toned gun.

The point of having WWII weapon is it looks like we are in WWII about creating that feel nd atmosphere., So although a Sten and a .... what's a modern gun... rm... P90, yeah, P90.. although a Sten and an P90 function the same, someone using an P90 does not look they are in WWII, and those people alongside do not feel like they are either.
The same goes for a two tone gun. If we have a cameoflaged bright green Sten, why not a cameoflaged P90.

although you are right about the look you're forgetting that a lot of the ww2 experience is tactile, yes he could use a p90 or anything else camouflaged but for him (the individual) it would not feel the same and would damage his experience of the event.
Just my 2p anyway.

To be honest if two tones are allowed I for one will be thinking very carefully before attending. I have another event (non-airsoft) which I could do that weekend instead.
Sorry!

No, you have missed my point, I will restate it.
I agree with Yith, if there are tow tone guns allowed, then i am not interested. I think the organisers need to more clearly define what type of event they are running before I am willing to pencil anything in.
Surely we have enough weapons between us that we can lend killacommy something more suitable? Is there a lending thread? lets not get a downer on a new event orghaniser

Yes at least someone has a sensable option to it
Think a lot of people are forgetting how it was with the lookalike years before all the options of the weapons we have today were available. Did you not attend events when people were using AKs as 44s?
Yup, I did, but I've never attended a WWII event with two tones.
Lending sounds the best way. Killakomie, if you can find nothing else you can borrow my MP40. I would say my Sten, but I'm rather precious about it. ![]()
I just want to say, what difference would it make to anyone if I was to use a COMPLETELY CAMOFLAUGED two tone sten, and by completely camoflauged I mean the bright blue bits will not be visible, do you seriously associate then phrase two tone with multicam wearing cod fanboys? I never have expressed much interest in call of duty (except when they announced that black ops would be set in the vietnam war so I gathered a pretty authentic nam load out only to be disappointed with the pile of shit that they pulled out with that one) and as I said I'm going to try to get afra membership before the event and I was just asking if two tones were allowed as a precaution.

One question.
Would a sten have been completely camouflaged in WWII?
Actually I can't remember a photo of one even slightly camouflaged.... (waiting for the obligatory photo to prove me wrong, lol
)
The offer of the MP40 is on the table.
I have an MP40 I can loan as well. Seems the way forward to me, surely we have enough gear between us to make it all look right.
I would apply the 10 paces rule. If it looks right from 10 paces it will do for me. But that's just my opinion. Not my event.

@ Yith Well camoflauge means to hide or conceal so I don't mean have half a tree hanging off it, maybe just some black cloth over the brightly coloured bits so they're not visible

kilacommy, please just take the option of borrowing... It'll look far better.
Ta.
Getting back on topic slightly, i'm another who would also like a bit more information about the nature of the event - i'm a bit concearned that by the sound of things its more of an 'standard' airsoft event in WW2 kit, rather than an immersive experience as most of us are used to with the organisers on here - some clarification would be good!
It is not specifically about two tones, OK, it is in as far as they should really not be allowed in any WWII event, but more about wanting clarity over what this event is.
My worry is that there is no real list of mean old rules telling us what is not allowed, and it is these rules that define what a game is and allow an informed choice on if one wants to attend.
Origionally, this event was marketed under the 'realism' banner, it was 24 hours in the field. It was a re-enactment with added Airsoft bbs, great. But now if there are two tones allowed that changes the style of event. More precisely it means the style of event is up for change again later.
Now the chances are that it is still worth going regardless, even a blatfest or an openday with the right people around you is entertaining enough, but it is really annoying when a change to the nature of an event happens after you have booked on, paid and prepared all the logistics for travel.
So if the organisers are just going to say 'yes' to every enquiry I will cese to be excited, and as it is my hobby too I do like to get excited about the things I do.
